This autumn, Le Palais royal is going on tour in Germany!
To mark the 150th anniversary of Bizet’s death, the Thuringia Philharmonic has invited Jean-Philippe Sarcos and the Palais royal choir for three gala concerts devoted to the composer’s works, in Gotha, Eisenach and at the Alte Oper in Frankfurt.
The programme was built around Bizet’s landmark works: Carmen and Les Pêcheurs de perles. The three concerts were jointly conducted by the Philharmonic’s music director, Aurélien Bello, and Jean-Philippe Sarcos, music director of Le Palais royal.
Mezzo-soprano Marion Vergez-Pascal, tenors Jakub Pustina and Patricio Amaya, and baritone Giorgos Kanaris share the stage with the Palais royal choir and the orchestra of the Thuringia Philharmonic.
