On 7 November, Le Palais royal performed Les Chemins de l’amour at the Salle Gaveau (Paris, 8th arrondissement).
Joined by mezzo-soprano Juliette Mey — the 2024 Victoires de la musique “Lyric Artist” Revelation — the programme unfolds a Romantic repertoire from Auber to Poulenc by way of Gounod, Chabrier and Offenbach, each embodying in his own way a certain French spirit that sings of love with lightness, elegance, wit and panache.
A concert was also given for schoolchildren, then at the Cercle de l’Union interalliée and at the Petit Palais for a private performance.
