MANIFESTO
Listening better, together.
Le Palais royal strives to recover, contextualise and share the emotion and meaning of the works.
The composer’s musical discourse becomes audible and enchanting, allowing everyone to rise above the everyday towards an elsewhere they can discover and make their own.
Le Palais royal seeks to make every concert a unique event built on a beautiful promise: the wonder of each listener in contact with the music.
An introduction to each work by Jean-Philippe Sarcos, musicians playing standing, singers performing without scores to be in direct contact with the audience, staging, lighting, costumes and sets… all help to create a moment of shared musical emotion, to forge connection and to make our concerts memorable.
Le Palais royal wishes to pass on the treasures of music to as many people as possible.
We reach out to all our audiences: music lovers from every continent, teenagers far removed from culture, business leaders, students, children aged 0 to 7, residents of rural villages in the Essonne. We adapt our concerts and build a sincere, close and friendly story.
Le Palais royal surrounds itself with leading artists.
Our musicians possess exceptional musical qualities, along with a generous, joyful personality attentive to the audience.
Le Palais royal is part of a French musical tradition that foregrounds clarity, elegance, dance and colour.
In doing so, Le Palais royal resists the standardisation of ways of playing. Working on instruments from the period of the works performed is decisive in this regard.
